Terms
The agreement between you and sd.print when you place an order.
Last updated July 16, 2026
Who you're dealing with
sd.print is a trade name of Steven Dao, a sole proprietorship based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In these terms, “I” and “me” mean that business, and “you” means the person placing an order. Reach me any time at hello@stevendao.xyz.
Orders and pricing
A quote is an offer, not a contract — an order is formed when I confirm your file by email and take payment. All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include the payment-processing fee; shipping is added at checkout as its own line.
Quotes are computed automatically from your model's geometry. If a quote is obviously wrong because of a malformed or adversarial file, I may decline the order and refund you in full rather than honour a price the geometry didn't earn. I won't use this to wriggle out of a price you were fairly quoted.
Your files, your rights
You keep every right you have in the models you upload. You grant me a limited licence to store, slice, and print your file solely to fulfill your order — nothing else. I don't resell your models, print them for anyone else, publish them, or train anything on them.
You confirm you have the right to print what you upload. If a file infringes someone else's rights, that's on you, and I'll decline it if I spot it.
What I promise, and what I don't
I promise your part matches the file you sent, in the material and finish you chose, printed to a standard I'd stand behind — and if it doesn't, the refund policy covers you.
I don't promise a printed part is fit for a load-bearing, safety-critical, medical, or automotive use. FDM and resin parts are anisotropic and fail differently than machined or moulded ones. You're responsible for deciding whether a printed part suits your application. My liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it.
Accounts
You can order as a guest or with an account. If you make one, keep your sign-in details to yourself — you're responsible for what happens under your account. I can suspend an account being used to abuse the service, and I'll tell you why.
Changes and governing law
I may update these terms as the service grows; the date at the top always reflects the current version, and changes never apply retroactively to an order already placed. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
