What I collect

Only what an order actually requires:

• Your email — to confirm your file and send order updates. Required.
• Your name and shipping address — to post your part to you.
• Your 3D model file, and the geometry measured from it to compute your price.
• Any notes you add to an order.

What I never see

Your card number. Card payments are handled entirely by a third-party payment processor; your card details go straight to them and never touch this site's servers or database. I only ever see the outcome of a payment and the last four digits.

Why I collect it

To quote your part, print it, ship it, email you about it, and handle refunds or reprints. That's the whole list. I don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train models.

If you tick the opt-in box at checkout, I'll also email you when public ordering opens. That's the only marketing email I send, and every one has an unsubscribe link.

Who else processes it

To run the service I rely on a small number of trusted third-party providers, each handling one job on my behalf: website hosting and storage, database, payment processing, email delivery, and anonymous usage analytics. They act only as processors under my instructions and can't use your data for their own purposes.

I don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. If you want to know exactly which providers are involved, email hello@stevendao.xyz and I'll tell you.

Where it lives, and for how long

Order records are kept while your order is active, and afterward as long as I need them for bookkeeping and tax obligations. Uploaded model files are kept so I can reprint a part if something goes wrong, and I delete them on request. Data may be stored or processed outside Canada by the providers described above.

Your choices

Email hello@stevendao.xyz and you can ask me for a copy of what I hold on you, correct it, delete your account and model files, or unsubscribe from anything. I'll action it — no retention department, no dark patterns. It's one person reading the inbox.

Cookies

A sign-in cookie if you have an account, and anonymous analytics that measure usage in aggregate. No advertising cookies, and nothing sold to third parties.
