How prints get made, shipped, cancelled, and refunded. Written plainly — if something here isn't clear, email me and I'll fix the wording.

What you're buying
Every order is a custom part, manufactured to order from the 3D model you upload. Nothing is held in stock. Your price is computed from your model's actual geometry, the material and finish you pick, and the postage to your destination — all in Canadian dollars (CAD).
I print each order myself and confirm your file by email before it goes on the printer. If your model has a problem I can't print around, I'll tell you before charging or printing, not after.
Turnaround & shipping
Most orders ship within a week of confirmation. Larger or multi-part builds can take longer — if yours will, I'll tell you by email rather than let it go quiet.
Orders ship from Toronto as a single tracked parcel. Postage is calculated at checkout from your destination and the total weight of your parts — typically $13–27 CAD — and shows as its own line in the order summary before you pay, so there are no surprise charges after.
Where I ship
Canada and the United States only, with one exception: I don't currently ship to Quebec. Quebec has its own French-language and consumer-protection requirements that I want to meet properly rather than approximate, so it's on the list to add rather than quietly ignore. Quebec isn't selectable at checkout.
I don't ship anywhere else yet. Customs duties or import fees on US orders, if any, are the recipient's responsibility.
Cancellations
You can cancel for a full refund any time before your part goes on the printer — reply to your confirmation email, or write to orders@stevendao.xyz with your order id. Because I confirm every file by email before printing, there's a real window here: nothing starts until I've checked your file.
Once a part is printing it can't be cancelled — the material is already spent. At that point the refund policy below applies instead.
Refunds & returns
Custom-printed parts can't be resold, so I don't accept change-of-mind returns once a part has been printed. What I do cover, in full:
- The part arrives damaged, or is defective — a failed print, a botched finish, a part that won't hold together in normal use.
- The part doesn't match the file you submitted, or the material and finish you chose.
- The order never arrives.
How to make a claim
Email orders@stevendao.xyz within 30 days of delivery with your order id and a photo of the problem. In most cases the photo is all I need — a misprinted part has no resale value, so you usually won't have to send anything back. I'll reprint it or refund it, your choice. If I do need the part returned to diagnose a fault, I'll arrange the return with you first.
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. I'll confirm by email when it's issued.
What I won't print
I decline files I can't print safely or legally: functional weapons and their components, anything infringing someone else's intellectual property, and anything that can't be printed to a standard I'd stand behind. If I decline your order you're refunded in full, immediately and without argument.
